5. AI Processing & Third-Party AI Services

1. ListenX uses automated artificial intelligence technologies to process text, documents and web content to provide features including text-to-speech, natural voice playback, content summarization, AI Q&A, note-taking, and other content understanding related functions.
2. To deliver the above functions, certain user content may be securely transmitted to our trusted third-party artificial intelligence service providers. Such content may include user-input text, uploaded documents, parsed text from documents, webpage content extracted from submitted links, user questions, generated notes, and operational instructions required to complete relevant AI functions.
3. ListenX only shares information necessary to fulfill the functions requested by you. Third-party artificial intelligence service providers process relevant information on our behalf and are required to implement appropriate security measures to protect the content they handle.
4. AI-generated results, including summaries, answers, and text-to-speech audio, may be inaccurate or incomplete. You shall independently verify and judge before making important decisions based on AI-generated content.
5. Unless otherwise disclosed to you or permitted by applicable law, ListenX will not intentionally submit user content to third-party AI service providers for training their general artificial intelligence models. Specifically, any personal data and email content obtained through Google APIs will never be transferred, sold, or used for training any third-party or general artificial intelligence models.

6. Data Sharing & Service Providers

We may share personal data with trusted third-party service providers solely to operate and improve the Service. These may include cloud hosting providers, AI infrastructure providers, analytics services, and payment processors.

All service providers are contractually obligated to protect personal data.

7. International Data Transfers

If personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we implement appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent legal mechanisms.

16. Google API User Data Policy & Gmail Access

Information We Collect via Google APIs

When you enable the email read-aloud feature, ListenX requests access to your Gmail mailbox via Google API Scopes (e.g., https://googleapis.com). We strictly access only the textual content of incoming emails (including the sender, subject, and message body) required to perform the text-to-speech (TTS) conversion.

How We Use Gmail Data

The Gmail data accessed by ListenX is used solely and exclusively to convert your email text into speech for hands-free listening. ListenX does not function as an email manager; our service will never modify, reply to, send, or delete any of your emails, nor will we access your contacts.

Data Retention & Storage

To protect your privacy, email text accessed via Gmail APIs is processed transiently. Text content is deleted immediately after the text-to-speech audio synthesis is completed and is never stored permanently on our servers.

Google Limited Use Disclosure

ListenX's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We will not use or share this Gmail data for serving advertisements, retargeting, market research, or training general artificial intelligence models.
